- Tamara G. - PEOPLE: will do permaculture workshops at launch Sunday 22/1/12 12noon til late.
- Tamara G - TRANSLOG: Bringing stuff for workshops to festival, including plants, boards, butchers paper.
- Harry W - PEOPLE: co-organising fest, doing website design, will provide entertainment by singing and playing guitar.
- Harry W - TRANSLOG: assisting with van with festival transport
- Harry W - TOOLSMAT: helping to collect materials
- Diane H. - PEOPLE: co-organising fest, doing website design, will do sprouted seed workshop Sun 22/1/12, possibly same on Australia Day, & do mini lunchtime city workers sprouted seed workshop Wed 25/1/12. Will provide entertainment by singing & playing guitar. Will assist others on the day where required. Folding origami sampan boats.
- Diane H. - TOOLSMAT: I have been collecting toilet roll inners and will make wee pots for seedlings from these. I have some small seedlng pots for Fest.
- Diane H. - TRANSLOG: Bringing materials (via public transport) and am also liaising with others re: obtaining assistancematerials, etc for Festival.
- Bec C. - PEOPLE: Needs confirming yet expressed interest in doing permaculture workshop(s).
- Tammy B - PEOPLE: Is an organic farmer and can bring along seedlings.
- Bee & Earthnerds - not sure yet what Bee will be doing yet know it'll Bee good!!! More info and categories tba.
- Zia will hopefully be available to help host the Kid's Area. More info and categories tba.
- Helen C & Occupy Melbourne Education Working Group - will be running some sort of reading/discussion group. More info and categories tba.
- Jo P - Jo says despite her efforts & pacifist nature she is a plant & goldfish killer (lol!) so will provide general assistance, & we'll help change her black thumb into a green one hopefully!
- Jo P - KIDS - will help with kid's area.
- Liz M (MedMob) - PEOPLE: organising Med Mob (Meditation flash mob) for beginning of Festival.
- Shayne of Wyndywood Worm Farm www.wyndywoodwormfarm.comis loaning us a worm farm(s?) for our Fest!!!!
- Occ Melb FACT Working Group (First Aid Care Team) will be at the Festival & caring for our ouches - which hopefully there won't be any of.
- Thea K - KIDS - kindly organising a kid's area(NOTE: She really needs assistance!) printed off a whole heap of colouring in pages, will buy pens, pencils, paints, glitter, pins, notice boards & would appreciate assistance gathering up milk crates to make work areas. Cress and mustard seed growing on windowsill. Making up packs to do so at home so they can go away all buoyed up and into growing things. Had suggestions of sand & sand box...will try and source...to make dioramas and things... will also start collecting twigs for trees &collecting up the farm animals that sprog doesn't play with any more. Storytime- lots of books about the planet, animals, being kind etc. I absolutely refuse to dance about like a tit pretending to be a tree (but probably will anyway...lol)
Plus, doing this by self...need assistance on the day to keep children engaged...I'm not a natural at this but will try my best. Have engaged Sprog into doing some action of his own...get kids involved. - Ariana -
- Kat B - PEOPLE: organizing Kitchen and food and running around promoting and getting folk to be part of festival.
- Kat B - TOOLSMAT: getting materials for fest including food and anything else needed.
- Adrian D - PEOPLE: Run a basics of beekeeping workshop, with an urban focus.
- Julian S - PEOPLE: Tell folk about the worm farm and worms. Also making info poster about worms and worm farming, other posters for festival, and helping to fold origami sampan boats.
